Lämmerenhütte SAC, 2502 m

Hütte im Wildstrubel Gebiet

🧭 The hut at a glance

The Lämmerenhütte stands at 2,502 m on the east side of the Wildstrubel massif, high above the Gemmi Pass between Kandersteg, Adelboden and Leukerbad. The hut of the SAC Angenstein section has an eventful history: taken over in 1949 as an old military barracks, rebuilt in 1971, destroyed by a powder-snow avalanche in 1990 and re-erected on today’s safe site in 1992. It was extended and modernised once more in 2016/17.
