🧭 The hut at a glance
The Corno Gries hut (Capanna Corno Gries) stands at 2,338 m in the Val Corno, in the upper Bedretto valley in Ticino, some 3 km above All’Acqua on the Nufenen Pass road. Originally built in 1917 as military accommodation, the hut is striking today for its bold modern architecture – locals call it the «control tower of the Alps». It belongs to the SAC Rossberg section.
