🧭 The hut at a glance

The Bordierhütte lies at 2,886 m in the Valais Alps, at the foot of the Nadelgrat. The hut belongs to the SAC Geneva section and is the key base for tours on the Nadelgrat and the summits of the Balfrin group. It is named after a Geneva banker who helped to finance the hut’s construction in 1927.

🛏️ Beds

  • 46 beds in total
  • Staffed from mid-June to mid-September
  • Outside the season the kitchen, dining room and bedrooms are freely available
  • Online booking compulsory – no overnight stays without a reservation
  • Sleeping bag liner compulsory
  • For groups of 8 or more: the full cost of the stay must be paid at least 30 days in advance

  • Hot and cold dishes during the staffed season
  • Home-baked cake and bread from the wood-fired oven
  • Dinner with soup, salad, main course and dessert
  • Meat-free meals on request when booking (there is no explicitly vegetarian menu)
